Objectives

The aims and objects for which GEHNA has been established are as generic as they can be and as specific as promoting “Skill Development” recognizing that the economic dependence is key to social and physical advancement of all individuals and communities. They mainly cover, but not limited to:-

Rural development across all sectors like health, education, infrastructure, sustainability.
Issues concerning females like women empowerment by socio-economic, political measures for creation of equitable environment and related aspects like domestic violence, sexual harassment, dowry etc.
To conduct awareness drives and programmes for health and medical issues like population control, AIDS, pollution.
Urban governance issues like civic amenities management etc.
Child rights issues like adoption, caring, control of child delinquency, child abuse and providing good environment for their overall development of their childhood.
Conducting skill development workshops and programmes for enhancing employability chances of youth especially girls.
To make aware citizens about initiatives of the Union, State, Local governments and enhance their effectiveness like RTI, MGNREGA et al.
To conduct socio-economic surveys and prepare reports on various issues for efficient planning and implementation.
To initiate programmes for development of rational, scientific society as enshrined in Indian constitution.
To contribute to road safety awareness, accident prevention and control.
To organise workshops and conduct programmes for personality development and imbibing basic human values among society.
To help prepare students and aspirants from eligible category for competitive exams.
To assist entrepreneurs in planning and conducting corporate social responsibility activities.
To undertake programmes for disaster management, awareness and conducting drives for spreading best practices.
